@carlianne Love the texture!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays forum!

Bored of santa, into santa, who the $&^% is santa?
-
@Chip-Valecek I love your new pieces. Are you enjoying working in this style though? I know your work had a lot of heavy outlines in the past. Have you tried some thin outlines? Great piece!!
-
@josegalue25 thank you!! That's what I've been working on recently. I watched Lee's you tube video on texture and got some better brushes. It's really helped.

Happy Holidays yโall

Iโve been so busy this month that I havenโt been very active on the forum and feel like I missed a lot. Thereโs some great work on this thread. Here is a sketch I did for a potential entry to the December contest but I donโt honestly know if Iโll have time to ink and paint it. (This is in Procreate but Iโd like to do it traditionally.) Weโll see if it ever gets any farther than this!

Hi everyone!
This month i am working on a Spider-man, Peter Parker Illustration fan art, its been a while since i've drawn Spider-man.
One of my favorite characters from the marvel universe.
Still working on it, here's where i am today.

I don't know which my favorite piece of 2019 is, because I'm just working hard to get faster (and better), but here's my December piece. It's things that could happen when kids put on a Christmas pageant, and I finished it just in time because I have to get on a plane tomorrow morning! Happy holidays everyone!
-
@franksandovalart Peter Parker ... or Jake Parker?

This is a Christmas gift for my best friend. I just finished today, been working on it for about two weeks. It's also the piece I enjoyed doing most this year, coincidentally! This is my first drawing of a furry animal on drafting film using colored pencils, so it was new territory, I had so many skills to learn and feel like I leveled up (sometimes I'd think, no way is it possible to do the white hairs without paint, and then I watched tutorials, experimented, and did them!). 14 hours drawing the final piece, 5x7 inches in size.

@LauraA this is really, really interesting and I love the style. Seems like there's a story behind the texture or how you made it? Cool!!!
-
At the moment I'm working on making portfolio art for board books for very young children. With this one I wanted to refine the colour palette and still have pops of colour. Spot the children in the windows!
-
@Amanda-Bancroft Pretty incredible!
-
The adventures of Charlie and Mattymouse continue. Thank goodness every dainty farm girl carries a bowie knife/machete
-
@Braden-Hallett I really love that drop coming off of the S, so nice! This whole comic is a blast so far.
-
@CLCanadyArts Thanks Doing these kinds of action scenes is what I really love about comics. The gobbet of blood off the S was actually a mistake initially, lol
-
@carlianne so sweet ๏ธ

Yes I am liking it. When I first started to paint digital I did a lot of painting over the outlines. But combining a few different techniques I learned over the years makes it fun again.
Here is another piece I did. Baby Yoda of course.
