I changed my mind and I need your votes ASAP

So I decided I did not like what I did for the contest and I redid it after a fun idea hit me.
In Macbeth, William Shakespeare writes of a forest that walks. What if he got that idea from a real encounter...
The idea is that he traces the tracks but does not realize they came from the tree.So here is my question...
Black and white or color? Which do you think is a better illustration? Why?I know this is last minute but if you could give your input that would be great!
OR

Really fun idea! My gut instinct is to go with the black and white - the color you added is nice, but it's nothing I can't imagine from the black and white. The color isn't adding anything extra to the story, in other words, and the black and white also makes it look older, which works for the time period we get from his clothes.
I am trying to redo my submission last minute, too. I'm so unhappy with it.

@chrisaakins the persons foot prints are taking away the visual interest of the trees tracks. Get rid of all those human prints and make the tree tracks more obvious.
-
@chrisaakins I love this!
What a fantastic idea
-
@Aleksey I would, but the tracks show that he was following the tree tracks but lost them because he doesn't yet realize the tree made them.
@carolinedrawing thanks for the input. My students agree with you. I get nervous because no one ever submits black and white, but ink work is my strongest suit.
@Jenna-Jenks thanks! -
@chrisaakins ok. My vote is for color then
-
I like them both but I think I'll go with color, because it has a bit more contrast in the tree and the color helps the fact that the tree is about to take his hat, it stands out a bit more. I didn't notice it when looking at the black/white. lol. super idea.

I really like the way you've applied color in this...it has a colorized-black-and-white effect. I think it works with the topic. Nice work!
-
I vote color. Really beautiful piece.
-
@chrisaakins Black & White
-
I like the colour it is quite subtle anyway so the colour does not distract from your inking.it is a lovely piece of art
-
I love black and white, but if you go for color maybe have the guy in a different color than the tree?
-
I like the color. I would try a different color for the guy as well?
-
Thanks everyone. It seems most people like the color and a couple of you think I need to change will's outfit. What color? My gut says a greenish or a bluish color but maybe a burgundy or orange. Not sure whether to go analogous or complementary to the tree.
-
@chrisaakins I'd probably go complementary but if it's in Photoshop can't you change the hue and see what you like best? P.s. I like the colored version a little better than black and white but they're both great. Great drawing and concept!
