Painting colour and light 2.0 group runthrough. Anyone in?
-
I've had amazing success in doing week by week runthroughs. I think it's time for me to tackle painting colour and light. It's one of those big ol gaps in my artistic knowledge.
Anyone interested in doing a group runthrough with me? Figure I'll start next week. Not sure what the week-by-week breakdown will be yet, but I'll figure it out
-
@Braden-Hallett not sure where that falls in the curriculum, but I like your groups. Probably won't be able to follow until week after next.
-
I'll join you for it. I'm working on backgrounds this week pretty heavily so that'll be a great transition I think.
-
I love your run-through initiative. I might not be able to participate fully due to my schedule is quite full for December. But I will definitely follow along the thread, and jealously looking at everyone's homework.
-
I'd love that topic. It will be a tough week for me though ... When do you start? You don't aim to run through all of it in one week, right?
-
I'm interested!
-
This is where I'm headed next... I'm in. How does it work?
-
I don't think I'm quite ready to tackle color and light, yet, but I will keep an eye on what you're doing!
-
@Braden-Hallett I might get in on this one.
-
I already watched the class. What does the group run through entail? I'm curious. I was planning on taking a piece and coloring it with multiple lighting situations, is this what you are talking about?

Probably start Monday, and goodness no we don't do it all in a week The goal is to do the homework and watch the videos a little bit at a time. It'll probably be 5 weeks or so if we rush it.

Every week we do a little bit of the video watching and homework. We post our work if we so choose on weekly threads for feedback and such. It's a way to slow down and do all the work at a pace that lets you learn and really absorb the lessons.

Count me in as a solid maybe.
-
@Braden-Hallett Iโll be following your progress guys!
-
My priority is to create a portfolio right now, but color and light are one of my biggest weaknesses. So I would love to squeeze this in
-
I'm in but probably on a time delay. I really enjoy the way you structure classes but December is a very busy month for me so I will try to follow along but will be asking for extensions on all the homework. (I hated people who did that when I was in school!)
-
@Braden-Hallett I havenโt done part 1 of colour so unless thereโs a class for that I wonโt be joining, as much as Iโd love to (and you should know I would) lols.
-
I'd like to, because it's a great idea to work through classes in a group, but my December has gotten crazy. Following the thread and hope to join a group in January!

painting colour and light 2.0 is the revised class. So it's the same content as painting color and light 1.0 but better broken down and laid out
It's not the second part of a two part class. It's the better version of the original
-
@Braden-Hallett I will rearrange my December to include this. I am finishing up how the make money in illustration part 1 class.

Ooh, I also thought it was an advanced class. I might try and join in too then.
