RE: critique - storytelling problem?
Ok, I think this will be it for linework. anything that is bugging here? also, I see this as children illustration. Do you see this would fit in that world? I wanna really play out the colors, but I am not sure how the linework goes (I love doing it tho)

RE: critique - storytelling problem?
Moving on with the colors. I might do some color variations before going further.

Sterben's inktober
I finally received my inktober artsnack box yesterday - so I can take full experience of inktober! The brushpen is just amazing (except the ink is gone really quickly).
So this is my robot illustration for today's theme!!!

RE: Pod Cast Question - 3 Point Perspective
Love reading others dreams here!
Honestly i think about this 24/7. There isnt single day where i question what it is what i want to do, sometimes I will change my opinion in a matter of hours. Feels like i am stuck in this loop forever.
With that being said I am atleast certain what kind of type of art i would like to create..and that is, something that will inspire people, make them feel something beautiful. I would like to create the type of stuff i was inspired by as a young boy. I would like to pull them into worlds and stories where they can breathe or the opposite - gasp.
This isnt dependent on medium. I love comics, I love illustration, I love animation. In my dream world I would love to do all that, but also have a life besides that. Although certainly animation is a medium where the wildest dreams happen, just the real world life often isnt exactly there .
Oh well
I am bound to explore till the end of my life. But it is exciting as well. Thanks for asking

RE: December contest WIP as is tradition. Feedback always appreciated :)
@Braden-Hallett haha wow didn't see this concept coming
good job.
I was thinking that the expression of the old lady could be more intense? Maybe she is angry and surprised at the same time? (like what the F i just heard?!) kind of puzzled look as she is thinking about it? I picture that she wouldn't have a clear looking direction in this situation (like when you focus your hearing to a sound you cant see - you will have a blank look)
I figure that this might hurt your composition tho
so its up to you, but you can try it maybe idk.

RE: Painting colour and light 2.0 group runthrough. Anyone in?
My priority is to create a portfolio right now, but color and light are one of my biggest weaknesses. So I would love to squeeze this in

RE: Din-slo-vem-cember/Introduction.
Welcome! Love hearing about your re-discovered passion - good luck on your journey!
I am looking forward to seeing what you have in your sleeve!

RE: Critique request for book spreads.
Hi @xin-li I think that the composition And values works well! I dont have problem with readability at all
also the colors are great.
To the second point: i was thinking that maybe softly adding purple And Orange might help. (Orange for some little lights maybe) And i would add a mist or something that would help readers to kind off imagine their own scenery. I would approach it very lightly (soft transitions etc..) add Just as much details so the readers can imagine the rest. (basicaly i imagined Will Terry Winter scenes)
Those are my thoughs About it
you can do whatever you want with it
Hope it helps somehow.

RE: What podcasts you listen to, besides 3 Point Perspective?
OH my thanks for all the recommendations @CLCanadyArts and yeah i listen to podcasts all the time. 3 point perspective is of course my favorite one, but chiustream is awesome too!
Artcafe with Maciej Kuciara has some great episodes too.
Besides that Will Terry And Jake Parker has really great videos on YouTube that you can Just play when you are drawing.
