@Art-of-B yeah right? You must be crazy then, because you are posting finished stuff pretty often How much work do you do behind the scenes? :DD
Oh hello! There it is The short comic I was working on past 2-3 months. It is just the prologue to the larger story - it is for school portfolio and the maximum page count is 12 so that's why its just prologue
It is not perfect, maybe it's not even good, maybe its trash I don't know What is important for me is that it is finished and that I tried my best... at the beginning, I didn't really believe in my ability to finished it, because my previous comic stories ended up with the first page or less... but somehow I did it and it was all about process.. step by step. I didn't rush it... I took my time in prep phase and that lead to finishing it (even tho its just 9 pages xD big deal wow right?)
So whatever its good or not depends on viewers. You in this case
so if you are interested here is the link
I think think that is a great thing to think about and important as well.
For me, It's about creating inspirational images/stories that show why the world is beautiful (but also cruel at times), re-connecting the world to nature, dealing with values in life and creating stuff that will generate emotions like love, nostalgia, appreciation etc..
So that's it... I am very very very far from that. Partially because I need to affirm myself in this sort of thinking as well - My whole teen years were all about the exact opposite. But I look at it as long life pursuit so there's time (at least some :D)
I am very interested in what everybody else here has as their anchor statement (if you have and if not I am very much encouraging you to think about it!! )
I believe Erich Heinemann worked in watercolor! (sorry if I am wrong) I absolutely love his works. and Carcamo is stunning as well
Hi there! last days I was working on sketching out the "full" comic (its just prologue). It's really rough, but at least I have something I can work on top of from.
I am not sure if its readable for you. I hope it is
So again don't let yourself back ! any comment appreciated
@Kristin-Wauson Thank you so much! I will. Just maybe not so often.
@Craig-Imrie Hi! mmm I guess I`ll have to do some thinking again. I discussed this with nyrrycadiz in this thread and i though I will go with the style of second page ... but! As I am thinking about it while typing this.. for the purpose of the mood I am trying to depict and other reasons I will try the first one indeed but with some changes tho.
(yes you can say i am very indecisive hehe)
Thank you a lot for comment!
alright.. page 2 "done" - we are getting somewhere with the story.. I will have to do something with the panels in the forest so they read better, but I will share it in this stage... again! point out everything you have in mind thanks!
and its okay I share it this often? like per page? Maybe I will update with more workload from now on i don't want to bother you guys so often xD
oh and the last panel is in sketch form, but I like the dynamics of it..
