Our SVS Virtual Studio π SEPTEMBER 2019

My husband wants me to design a skeleton guy for him, which made me lol because I usually draw cute stuff.
It made me realize that for most of the human form I draw a bit of a skeleton anyway, but to draw skeleton hands I had to draw finished hands and work backwards.
This is a first pass for a more complete figure. I did a bunch of skulls and he picked what he liked best. Then he'll comment on this and we'll go from there.

@chrisaakins Deer mice are adorable and unfortunately, they are what usually get into my house in the winter making trapping them a very sad job. It's easier to kill ugly mice. Your drawings continue to look great.
-
@demotlj I confess I let the one invading my kitchen go because it was too cute.

@Heather-Boyd I think the style is working and you should keep exploring it, because you're really onto something. It feels contemporary, but also with your own unique spin on it. A good combo to have.
I'm trying to pick back up with the Light and Color class I started a couple of months ago. Here's a study from life in diffused and direct light.

Thank you for your kindness.

I had a breakthrough today! But I canβt show it unfortunately, because itβs for a contest with a blind judging and itβs against the rules to share it which sucks because Iβm so happy. Lol.
Anyway, so Iβm drawing people. I can draw people but it takes me a very long time and I struggle and redraw and redraw and itβs sooo frustrating. In this project there are A LOT of people that I have to draw and at the rate Iβm going I will not make the deadline. So I was in a very high state of frustration and anxiety yesterday. Last night I got on svs learn and searched for any class that could throw me a lifeline of help. I searched under characters and picked the Posing Characters class. It was EXACTLY what I needed. I applied what I learned to a couple of my people drawings today and WOW what a difference. Beans. Who wouldβve thunk it.
I have before and after pics and process vids that I will share after the contest is over in November.
I just want to say thank you to @Will-Terry and @Jake-Parker for passing on your knowledge. You saved me today.
SVS RULES! οΈ -
@burvantill Ooo, yes, Iβd love to see before/after and see the difference that an SVS class made! Looking forward to it, so be sure to share.

Been awhile since I've been on the forum. I've missed my SVS friends! I'm excited to share with all of you that I will be doing my first gallery show in October!! (Granted it's not my illustration work... it's abstract alcohol ink, so it's a totally different thing but I'm excited about it!)
Anyway I took a break from gallery work to illustrate some jokes in a new style. Thought I'd pop on and share. Hopefully I'll be able to be more present and contribute to discussions soon.

@artwithashley best of luck with your gallery show. I love seeing your process videos on Instagram for the alcohol paintings.

Pretty sure I'd be walking around with a sneeze coating on the inside of my helmet.
-
@Braden-Hallett would it be vacuum sealed?
-
@Aleksey I'm certain that in my case it would be.
The smell of sneeze...
