@JerrySketchyArt Can you get me back on to Discord? I had an issue and had to make a new account.
-
@Heather-Boyd i think so. It might have also started that way and then i went down a Pinterest hole.
-
@Erin-Cortese aw thank you Erin, that means a lot to me. Especially right now there’s a lot happening in my life that has been stressing me out.

I'll try to keep an eye out for you joining. You won't have to do the application again. If I don't get you back in quickly just post something in the pond to let me know it's you.
-
@Aleksey Sorry to hear that, hopefully your art can be an outlet or at least a distraction. Sometimes really leaning into the things that you have some control over in your life helps in coping with the aspects of life you don’t have control over.
-
@Erin-Cortese thanks Erin. yeah I got very frustrated last night and got really into my mermay piece.. still frustrated of course but lol it was a good way to channel that energy.
-
just trying to get something done for the end of the week! one is just line work and one I started adding tones but neither one is totally finished. I am happy though that I started to look at the perspective more, where horizon line is etc. It's a good start.
-
Here is my exercise 7. Not a perfect replica but fun to do.
-
Aw man the exercises keep getting harder!
It's all SUCH good practice, though
-
@Braden-Hallett Great change in perspective...like it

Redid mine and rotated it to a more objective view. I noticed almost none of us actually rotated like we're supposed to. I would highly recommend you go back and do it correctly if you just kind of copied like I did. This was a heck of a good challenge!
Saved a few of the steps for anyone interesting in the building process.
-
@JerrySketchyArt I missed the instructions to rotate it. That makes more sense because just copying it, while helpful, wasn’t as educational as rotating it will be. I’ll have to redo it.
-
@demotlj I don't think he technically said to rotate it, but that's how I took the assignment for an objective view. Most of us used subjective views for the references.

Week 4 took a time to find in the threads lols.
Objective Drawing to learn more about roofs, and combining forms.
I also really like the glow coming through the wood.
To note I resized my selection couple times so I could visualise how I draw too large and how to work smaller.
Thanks -
@Braden-Hallett Wow! This is fantastic!
-
Gave a stab at rounder buildings and roofs. Far more challenging. Then I worked in some values to help me understand the forms. Will re-vist this one in the future.
-
Building #3 I will go back and use this for learning how he/she chooses their colours, rendering and most likely choose for the Subjective Study. I am going to keep pumping these out - you guys are so great!
These drawings are helping me draw within a reasonable time as well. I used no size selection alteration.
I think this looks like a combination of R2D2 and a DALEK lols. -
Fun but too many details to work through at this stage. Building #4

This is the last of 07 Exercise -I was just going to do 6 and then I found a round roof so I had to give it a whirl. I will be on a rest retreat this long weekend but juiced up to start up again on Tuesday for the Subjective Studies and my Mermaid. Thanks
