Our SVS Virtual Studio JULY💥2019
-
I was working on developing some characters, but I'm not yet happy with the color palette (too intense I think). Eventually, I'd like to pitch a composition with mermaid/merboy to Highlights or similar publication as a sample.
-
I'm new to SVS, working on the figure. Camping with my wife, kids and friends!

@Adriana-Bergstrom really love the art style for these characters, very cute!

All of these look so great. I have missed getting to do art this summer!
-
Getting some daily shapes done, I have to say, I love to draw animals, but ppl...no, have to exercise them more.

Besides a few fantasy commissions, I am slowly struggling my way through this illustration this month:
-
I'm taking a couple of self-guided schoolism classes. For one class they've been having 5 studies per assignment, so I've already done 17 paintings and I'm only on assignment 4! Here are the ones I've done in July.
-
@TessaW WOW. These looked like photos to me at first. I had to zoom in to check. Are they digital?
-
Here's today's progress, I finally started painting! We'll see what ends up happening with the colors. . . It's a little too pastel-y I think.
-
Back to figure drawing. Trying to be more disciplined with my classes. These are 2 minute poses. I need to figure out how to handle my panic every time the timer dings - giving myself heart attack plus I start to get very scratchy with lines as a result
-
continuin' to play with watercolours

@TessaW
These are some really great studies! I love how clearly you're able to express the textures of each of the surfaces you were painting. I was thinking of taking a few schoolism classes, particularly the color and light class by Dice Tsutsumi and Robert Kondo.
