Wow this piece looks great! Would be nice as a FB banner as well.
There are already so many great suggestions made, I would add that it might be nice to make the hanging bear a little smaller and the bear on the left side has his leg crossed in front of him, maybe it would read better if the foot (his right foot) would be a bit more directed forwards, towards the viewer. -
Thank you all!! @tombarrettillo @DanetteDraws @Sarah-LuAnn @Lawnz @aska @Lawnz @Renske-D So great suggestions - I am seeing all the issues you mention and clearly need to play around with the drawing and the poses a bit more before moving on.
Meanwhile sketching out more ideas - really rough thumbnails! The reference to Calvin and Hobbes has reminded me of all of Watterson's fabulous snowmen... -
@smceccarelli The hairdryer, HA!
-
@smceccarelli Oh I love this ... The bear with the hat is my absolute favorite.. I really love the different perspectives you have going on.
-
@smceccarelli these are great. And, yes, Watterson's snowmen were the best!
-
Love the snowmen!

@smceccarelli I thought the first one was really good but like this one even better. Really fun drawing and so expressive.
-
@smceccarelli oh I love it!! The changes makes it much better.
-
@smceccarelli this is much better. one more minor thing I see is the front bear's mouth is blocked by the tree trunk, making his smile hard to read. Other than that, this is really good. Looking froward to the color!
-
@smceccarelli I absolutely love these! The changes you made definitely add to it. It kind of has a classic Disney feel to it , especially with the the first bear with the hat and the bells. Love the snow men too, looking forward to seeing a developed version of them!

Your stuff is wonderful as usual! Especially LOVE the middle one--and the kid having the hair dryer for his sidearm! Brilliant.
-
@smceccarelli Awesome, Simona - I love it!
-
@smceccarelli very nice as usual. The only slight change is the background. He looks like he is on a frozen tundra. I'd have some subtle nature back there. Perhaps some trees in the distance, etc. Just enough to hint at where he is. Probably a neighborhood or local park?
-
Wow @smceccarelli both pieces look awesome!
-
The snow people look great. If I were to say anything I think that the saturation is quite strong (although that could be my monitor).
The bears book great, although I think I prefer the happy eyes in the first version.
Really looking forward to seeing the final piece

Hi, I love this. The bears have so much character, love the poses.
Because you asked I would make the following change:
The bear holding the tree looks slightly turning while the tree looks straight on. The hanging bear seems to be on the same plain as the bear holding the pine tree and it slightly conflicts with each other. It is more visually engaging if the hanging bear's leg and body were behind the bear carrying the tree.

@smceccarelli Looks great. I would make a definite horizon line (maybe lower third), and snow for them to walk thru, or some kind of recognizable surface for them to walk on, and a few similar pine trees in the background. And the having the ornament and holly under the first bear's feet look like he is about to step on them (ouch).
