Painting with iPad Pro using Procreate drawing.
-
My family surprised me with an early birthday present and gave me my first iPad Pro and Apple Pencil. I am over the moon to figure out digital painting, as I’ve been purely traditional up until now. I watched Will Terry’s class on ‘Painting with iPad Pro with Procreate’ and did a quick sketch of his robot drawing. There’s so much more I can do with this drawing, but I’m eager to start working on my dummy book so this is as far as I’ve taken it for now. Just wanted to share my FIRST ever digital drawing. Can’t wait to learn more.
That being said does anyone have some recommendations for where to learn more about Procreate?

@erinrew Yay! Congratulations! You'll fall in love with the iPad and procreate! Great first digital painting! Hope to see many more!

@erinrew How exciting! Great work on your take of Will Terry’s dog-walking robot, you should be proud that you’re starting your digital art journey from such a solid foundation. I’m also new to digital drawing and Procreate, so far I’ve just been sketching and experimenting with effects so no finished works to share.
There is a lot to explore I actually spent the better part of last night learning from a video on James Julier's YouTube channel "A Beginner's Guide to Procreate" it’s long and pretty comprehensive and should connect you to a lot more similar videos through recommendations

@erinrew great first digital painting! - for other places to look to learn I would say Nikko Lockertsen is the way to go - he is a procreate master

- Bardot Brush also does a ton of tutorials https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSNvnDVDjyfr8zKZMGcjvlg
- Procreate has thier own websiteries too on youtube - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLlpSQCrjuGkoZHyUyO3cNEMyYPNkF0Hne
For brushes:
1)Free brushes https://jaejohns.com/free-procreate-brushes/
