Calling the new Dorothy done - i am so glad i restarted her - Thank you all for your help! I appreciate All of the feedback i received, it has made it a better piece for sure!
Out of time Good luck everyone! so many great pieces here
so much detail lost.....
Yup...another Wizard of Oz piece ... i'm getting there though This is a work in progress - this one really gave me trouble at first but i finally hit on this composition this weekend and i'm liking it - i composed it so that they are facing to left in contrast to most of the other Oz pieces - my idea is that the crow is noticing Dorothy and crew coming toward the trees - curious if the composition is working for folks? Still lots of work to do - any feedback always appreciated
This is pretty rough and scribbly with lots of work yet left to do... but i am wondering if the image is working for anyone? is there a story coming through? The SVS rabbit was kind of a cheeky place holder for the farmer while i sorted out the composition..but i think he has grown on me Any feedback is always very much appreciated!!
Hope everyone is not sick of my Wizard of Oz pieces - but here is yet another(got a lot done on these snow days!) This is the Mouse Queen that helps to save the Cowardly Lion form the poppy field - think i'm close to finish on this - but i think i'm not seeing it clearly anymore and cannot see the obvious anymore - any feedback would be much appreciated
Here is a link to Will Terry's interview with our very own Simona Ceccarelli !!
@Daisy This looks awesome! I'm away from my ipad right now so I did not try this out before posting but I am wanting to put a layer of the aqua/blue over the girl (either an overly or color layer?) and then reduce the opacity of that layer until it looks like her colors are being affected by the water between us and her but that we can still make out that she is wearing a red dress - maybe a few bubbles between us and her? - really nice piece
@jdubz Hey Josh - this is looking cool - i loved your January Piece!! super nice - you are way better with color than i am so i hope you will forgive my crude attempt but i did have a couple things that would be easier if i tried to show them - i think that this would be a 3 point perspective is the main thing - i am sorry i am chiming in so late since you asked about the perspective a couple of times - i really feel like the eye level is so low it would have to be three point and the diving figure seems to be drawn in three point also - tilting the ladder dramatically back seems to do the trick - was also wondering what it would look like with less action besides the diver and no moon too - the the moon is so commanding it is hard to look away from it - lastly i was wondering about lighting the bottom of the face and the top differently might be cool thing to do on this piece - my attempt is quick and not too well done but i think it does seem interesting - anyways...could be wrong on this stuff..very nice piece
I just noticed Critique Arena has "the tracks in the snow...." video up - have not watched it yet but i'm sure other folks have been waiting to see it too
@Amelia-Bothe My only feedback is that i Love it - super good drawing!!
