Our SVS Virtual Studio š SEPTEMBER 2019
-
Hello illustrators!
Itās September! Starting the month off with a 3 day weekend is a great start.
What is everyone working on this month?Imagine you are walking through a studio silently looking over peopleās shoulders at their work. This is NOT a place for critiques. You may applaud, encourage, ooh and ah only.

My daily for today, really late, wa sout of house whole day...I am doing the instagram #12daysmoviechallenge by cesar_mvs sketch, my first inking try.out and my own style. I have to say, didn't have tome to work a lot on the feet

Attempting to do a Bob Ross video using Kyle Websters Real Oil brushes turned out to be a complete mess. So I took a break and did this. My wife likes to open the window and as soon as a fly goes by it she will close it until it dies.

Still working on the still life.
-
@chrisaakins I like the texture in the background. It adds interest, makes it unique, but doesnāt take away from the flowers or other items.
-
@amyvaidart thanks! I am trying to make it all very textured but the camera doesn't register it all. It's been a fun process.
-
In my other life as an instructor of theatrical costume design, the school year is getting underway and with it the production processes for several shows. I'm currently working on putting together some costume designs for one of those shows.
-
In order for my inktober kids to be fixin' a spaceship I've gotta have a spaceship I'm leanin' toward the Ladybug.
-
@chrisaakins the blue glass is looking really nice -looking like reflective glass. My mother likes blue glass .
-
@Braden-Hallett
Of the small ones, the 2nd on the top row and the 1st on the second row I like despite looking like guns lols - also come to think of it that resemble Bobafat's ship (sp) in the Clone Wars or the one before that, ahh.
It's super cute your names for them. They also look hug worthy, so squishy haha.
Thumbs up!
-
I'm just working out perspective stuff LoL for inktober sketches. Learning so much this year being in SVS
-
@Coley looking good!
-
@ambiirae thanks, perspective always confuses me but this my year to make progress
-
I'm working on developing a more cartoony art style; I'm thinking about creating illustrations/greeting cards with it possibly! Not sure if I should add a higher level of detail to it or not though, heh.
-
I think I am done. I know there are some lighting issues but for right now I'm done.
-
I was working on my How to Ink homework and began to notice how many things in my art studio reflect SVSās influence. Hereās a photo.
-
