August Illustration Contest: Worst Fear
-
Here we go again. You guys ready for another challenge? This month the challenge is "Worst Fear". Note that I didn't say YOUR worst fear. This small but significant detail can allow you to put a character in the scene that might not necessarily be your worst fear, it can be theirs.
Have fun and let me know if you have any questions. : )
Here's the specs: NOTE: Please put your real name AND svs forum name ON THE IMAGE. This saves us a lot of time in the end when trying to give credit. It also allows others to quickly see who did the work later if they grab your image for reference, etc.
One more big change: KEEP THIS THREAD FOR FINAL IMAGES ONLY. create another thread for work in progress pics, sketches, etc. It gets too confusing if it's all shown in one thread
RULES:
-Post your final illustration in this thread
-One entry per person
-File size no more than 1200 pixels on the longest side
-Don’t forget to include your name AND SVS name ON THE IMAGE so we can give you credit!
-Only submit if you are OK with us posting your image on social media
-Post by Aug 31 at midnight.PRIZES:
-1st place: free one month subscription or T-shirt (your choice)
-2nd runner up: free one month subscription (you get a refund for that month if you are already a subscriber)
-honorable mentions: the chance to bask in the limelightGood luck!

hey, I noticed no replies yet. Is this topic your worst fear?? haha!
-
Haha. It's a great prompt!
-
In a way, this topic is kind of the opposite of last month's prompt, since fears can hold someone back from reaching their goals/independence.
-
Hey, great topic Lee, my worst fear is when I unable to pay bills. Lol!
-
Another great challenge!
-
Well I just thought of a neat idea that will also challenge my perspective skills. So I am in!
-
I'm glad that it can be a character's greatest fear rather than my own. No one wants to see a needle coming at an eyeball! MWAH HA HAAAA evil little laugh
-
@danettedraws Ha! That's my son's worst fear! He does not like eyeballs (needle or not). I once invited him to join a class for drawing. The subject was eyes, he left the room Now he has to use eye drops for dry eyes so, I think he's made progress-also he's 25 years old.

@marsha-kay-ottum-owen Oh no! haha That totally reminds me of Rachel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=soNebkLlEJw

Hi, I am posting my old piece. I would love to create smith new, but my kids have got two months holidays (somebody kill me! ;-), so i don't have time for anything bigger that rough sketching and doodling;-) I have created this one for my kid, when we moved him to a different pre-school, which was much bigger and scarier that his old one and he truly hated it for first few weeks. Don't worry, its a part of a story that ends well and he gets to like his school I realise its not the greatest piece, but at least i am taking part this time and i am first

@lee-white Hah! I think we're still wiped out from the last challenge!
-
@danettedraws Ha! Ha!
-
Yeah first post @aska I like how the monster is transparent.....an interesting effect.
-
Fun prompt!

@jose-ramos @aska Great start so far all! The monster is too cool, and that creeper outside the window would get me heh.
Good luck all, I know there is going to be some great work shown as always! I'm glad it doesn't have to be my fear hehe
-
I like where this topic is going. Can't wait to see all the entries this month.
-
i saw the movie "It" when i had 5 years old, and every time i see something that reminds me of that, makes me panic.
