My book's success so far ♥️ Thank you SVS.

Hi everyone! I just wanted to share some cool stuff about my book so far. It doesn't publish until Tuesday but my indie publishers were able to help me get reviews and ranked on Amazon! I hope it's okay I share.

On Amazon it's a #1 new release for teen art books

On Goodreads my book was listed #5 in this "learn how to draw books list" Why there are 15 #5s I dunno but I'll take it

And has 4.78 stars. (Can I just round up to 5? )

And my kickstarter is over now but I pre-sold over 1000 copies during the campaign. About half were ebooks and half softcover.

I'm just super grateful for SVS. I would not have attempted this without all of the amazing resources from this community and especially the courses and podcasts. I started doing tutorials on Instagram in the first place because of one of the podcasts episodes and that's how I ended up with 25k followers on Instagram.

I had planned to slowly transition away from my fulltime illustration gig but instead I got laid off I was really hoping the book would do well and I can focus on being an independent artist along with mentoring so I'm very nervous but excited for the future!

Actually, you want 4.78 stars instead of a perfect 5. When I see a book on Amazon that has a 5 star rating, I get suspicious and wonder why everyone loves it. Even bestsellers and award winning books have 1 and 2 star reviews. It shows that your book is getting reviewed by actual readers and not friends/family/reciprocal reviewers.
