@Griffin This is stunning. I especially love the lighting and the dog's eyes -- such expression in them.
-
@Griffin very nice! I did a few for the local animal shelter it was fun!
-
@Asyas_illos oooh animal shelters are a good idea
-
@demotlj Thanks for sharing this idea.
-

Little late but May the 4th be with you. Or for today, Revenge of the 5th.
-
Here's a kawaii s'mores drawing I did for a poster for a church activity.

I find myself thinking, "I hope I don't wreck this when I add watercolor,"
This is a familiar feeling!

Finally kicked off a big personal project that I've been planning for awhile, in which I'm going to be creating character designs, illustrations, and sculptures focused on The Lord of the Rings over the coming year. My goal is two fold: to work on a project for a longer time period than I've ever been able to give before, and to create a work-life balance and routine that will allow give me the structure needed to jump onto big original projects once the Year of the Ring has ended.
I felt like my take on Gandalf would be the perfect place to start.

This week's Monsters Go.
-
@skillydan that is seriously awesome! Was the original sketch done by your child? Such a brilliant idea!
-
@Kristen-Lango monsters go is a page that kids monster drawings get posted and artists bring the kids monster submissions to life. It's super cute!
-
@Kristen-Lango as @AngelinaKizz said its an art challenge on Instagram. Each week there is a new kid's drawing of a monster and artists redraw it in their own style. Very fun and easy to get involved

Just been working on my 3d stuff lately finished this one up last night
-
@ambiirae wow so cool!
-
@Asyas_illos thank you I've been working hard on learning 3d and trying to find what direction I want to go with my work
-
Working through the harmony color sketch exercises of the Magic of Color course and trying to use an abridged version of the 10 Step Digital Painting process. Enjoying both, but lots to still figure out and get a feel for! Delightful sketch by Will Terry.

May the 4th always be with you, especially since I forgot to share here on THE DAY.
I'm going to do another illo that goes with this image. A reality vs fantasy, because in reality Kiddo and Grace are actually play fighting with broom stick handles while their parents look on proudly. =)x
I had fun drawing this and I know that it has a few flaws, but... THAT FLOOR. I mean, I can't stop looking at it. It's perfect.
