In Isolation, I have mostly been watching old films and TV shows. Then drawing pixel art all night long. The 8-bit lifestyle.
"I Can't Get No Isolation" featuring Pixel Kong.

@jdubz I really like what you have done. Such a peaceful image. Isolation can be a good thing.
-
Tried something a little different this month. It's a combination of traditional watercolor and digital. Update: changed the lighting to more of a night scene.
-
I haven't submitted to any contest's this year, but that was for personal growth. Over the past 5 months I have had a lot fun experimenting and finding a technique I enjoy to use. I started a series of alien illustrations and isolation hit a idea for me. Here is my submission.
-
@Heather-Boyd Thanks! I can't take total credit for the idea, though, my wife suggested the minotaur
-
@JoshuaDages Thanks! My wife suggested the using the minotaur in the prompt, but I was also inspired by Jun Chiu's The Cursed Girl which is the story of Madusa.
-
Lots of great illustrations posted already, can't wait to see the rest
Good luck everyone!

@taislemos Wow, this is gorgeous! I love the colors and the style.

Hi, all. My inspiration comes from pre-Covid-19 days. Being the new kid can be particularly hard and āisolatingā at lunch time, leaving one fiddling with a milk carton and not eating much food. I explored patterns to provide the energy for the noise/conversation from others in the room.
-
I've been a bit quiet here lately. I've been experimenting with combing traditional and digital media lately and made this today
-
@Chip-Valecek I love his eyes. I get a deep sense of his longing. the alien
-
@eriberart Really nice! I love how the watercolor looks, it's something I think can't really be replicated digitally yet. I did a similar thing this month with a watercolor background and a digital painted character...I wasn't quite sure if I made the digital and traditional bits feel like they "belong" in the same image, but I feel like you integrated them really well here.
-
@Braxton thank you! Iām happy to hear that as its been something Iāve been struggling with to make sure they look like they belong together
-
@Kat thank you!
-
@miranda-hoover thank you!

@Melanie-Ortins This is lovely! I like how you have so much detail, but it doesn't detract from your focus.
