I love Fall. Here's my take on it. Getting an iPad later this week so this is still drawing, watercolor, and scanning in.
Hi, @eli As long as folks are willing to share their experiences, I'm ready to learn. Glad this is helpful for you, too!
Thanks, @dan-tavis This all sounds so great. I hope my Windows 7 OS won't be a problem. I can hardly wait to buy stuff and get started.
Not trying to drag this out too much, just tech-illiterate here.
Does anyone know if/how I would be able to "use" the file formats between an iPad and a Windows 7 PC using Photoshop CS6?
Or, once I transfer the iPad files using the SanDisk flash drive or Wi-Fi, will I be able to open them in my Windows 7 PC so I can use them on a website, email them, enter the SVS Forum challenges, etc.?
Thank you all for the great info. So I won't get a Cintiq but will get an iPad. Now I just have to decide which iPad -- the Pro, regular, 12.9, 9.7, 10.5, and how many GBs of memory.
Thanks, @missmushy This looks exactly like what I would need. I watched the short video and it seems to work pretty easily.
Thanks, @poppyk I had not thought of taking a photo. Any thoughts on "how" you take the photo, for example, just flat on a table with natural room light or something fancier?
Thanks, @mrsdion iPad Pro and Procreate sound like the way to go.
Hi, @kevin-longueil Thanks for your thoughts. So do I understand this correctly that I can get an iPad, download Procreate wherever I can find Wi-Fi, and then just draw? I don't have to sit at my laptop or stay in range of Wi-Fi? If that is all true, how long does the iPad battery last or do you just recharge it when you are not using it? Thanks for the comment about not starting too late. I blew past 50 awhile ago!
Thanks, @smceccarelli Don't think I have Bluetooth for my desktop PC. Gads, I am such a dinosaur! Can images be transferred through a USB connection?
