Need Your Input on an SVS Illustrator Digital Summit
-
@Nyrryl-Cadiz thank you! I will check them out.
-
@Pamela-Fraley Sorry about that! Sounds like something is out of sync. I'll check it out and get back to you via email
-
@LisaF I was able to get on this one! That was awesome. I needed that little break. And something about it being a live zoom meeting made my kids okay with giving me a bit of time in my office.
-
With us working from home and some with kids home too ... Plan A seems great to be able to catch sessions live... would love to see Stephen Silver and Marshall Vandruff.
-
@Pamela-Fraley oh good! Glad it worked out!
-
hi jake!
just want to say, tho I'm not sure if its too late, you may have your list already, i would love to see Cory Godbey on the list, i really enjoy his work. Also, being jewish and growing up on jewish kids books, an illustrator who i really love his stuff is Gadi Pollack, he is Russian/Israeli but i think he does speak English and i would really love to see him at the summit if he does and you manage to contact him!
then there is also Chani Judowitz who has some really great stuff too. would be great to see her on here if she is available.thanks! im really looking forward to this

I know this is very late. I came across an aritst today and would love to see/hear her process a bit more.
I found Anuska Allepuz's arwork in the book " Children's picturebooks - the art of visual storytelling (2rd edition) by Martin Salisbury. The book has a short description on how she works with mxing printmaking, stencil, and handmade stamps, and assumbling the image digitally to create her art. I would love to learn more on how she work, but the internet search does get me far. I am so facinated about how she makes images like this with printmaking and stencils.

Late to the party but love the idea and can't wait ! Hope Plan A will work out but I'll be happy to adapt with any - looking forward
I understand if it's too much to ask but if there was a way to get assignments from the guests and (optionally) have them reviewed this could be super helpful.
-
This is mad in the best way, thanks for coming up with this, SVS head honchos!!
-
I'm sure I'm too late but I'd love if you can get Rebecca Green on this online event. Her art is really inspiring and for those who are curious she just shared her process behind her last picture book on her blog :

@carlianne I love Pascal Campion! I 2nd the vote for him!
-
Pascal for me too - and option A. I will catch up if I have to from here in NZ. Great idea, thank you.
-
Adam Rex would be awesome!
-
@Jake-Parker For me: Plan B conforms to what I've experienced with a conference. I could book time off for that.
Plan A would be a harder for me to attend consistently.
Plan C - I would hit the overwhelm button, and miss a lot of good stuff!
and on artists: one of the Fan Brothers. Or both
I saw Christian Robinson once - he's a very giving person.
Carson Ellis?
or Sophie Blackall? -
Super late to this but Shaun Tan
-
@xin-li I saw this work in the book now I know who you are talking about.
