@Heather-Boyd thank you! I really wanted to try this perspective. My initial thumbnails had the POV on the ground looking up at Will with a flying alien in a spacesuit above him.. but when I got the idea for a reflection in the footprint I ditched the alien idea for an easier read. It was fun to come up with and execute this concept.

@demotlj Yeah keep experimenting with different things thinking "THIS seems like the medium I like" and then find something else hah. I think I'm coming to a point where I'm going to end up with a really mixed media approach. I just realized not too long ago that I'm using acrylics a lot like water colors where I was doing all kinds of watered down washes and glazes to get it to do what I wanted. Someone just pointed it out to me so I started messing with watercolor but I'm still using watered down acrylic in the process. It's gettin' weird.

Do you ever reach for the undo key after you paint an actual stroke in a way you didn't like? I do that WAY too much lol.

@Braden-Hallett I remember hearing somewhere that turning your painting upside-down is a good way to tell if it's balanced.
Ha, ha! You could hang it on a spinner, so it can be rotated.
