I'm so glad I found this in time. This image was partly inspired by the snow-printing artist Simon Beck, who usually chooses some variation of sacred geometry or interesting shapes to carve out of freshly fallen snow. This was a fun project, looking forward to next month's!
P.S. Glad to be a part of what seems like an awesome community.

First time posting here. I didnโt realize that you have to get separate account to post to these forums. I hope I will still be accepted, it took a long time once I applied for the account to get the confirmation email.
Itโs fun seeing everyone elseโs submissions!
This is my first full page illustration. Iโm just starting my illustration journey. These courses have been very helpful!

@sigross This is truly unique
-
@Kevin-Longueil Your two little characters in the light are really cute!
-
@Michael-Haskew Very soft and beautiful textures!
-
@Braden-Hallett really cool image. Love what you did with character design, lighting, and texture. Best of all, you can also hang it upsidedown
-
@LauraA I love this one - The colors, the textures and the story are all beautiful! There are a lot of great entries this month, but if it were up to me, this would be my winner!

Wow, thanks @deborah-Haagenson! I hope to win a contest one day, but I don't think I'm there yet. I always look at others' work and think "Wow! Now that's good!" But maybe that's the best way to go about the contests--just do our best work and stay curious. The contests are great motivators for improvement but honestly there is so much good work every month and it's fun to be in such an encouraging and motivating group!

@Braden-Hallett Love it! Especially the "inside joke" about the dog and how the whole thing is a loop. Those rocks look good enough to eat!
It also keeps bringing to mind of a space age version of The Little Prince. Different feel, but still a lot of similarities.

@Cat-De-Pillar before I read your post I'd guessed it was wuthering heights & Heathcliff, so great job! It would make a great book cover.
