First time posting on the forum. Quick 10 min sketch on my take on 'NightFall'.
I spent 2017-18 fighting blood cancer, and some of the darkest moments came when night fell in the hospital wards. This image is a quick version of what Nightfall means to me.
All good now by the way

Hello everyone
Here's my take on Nightfall. I was trying to think of something you don't normally see at night (shout out to @Lee-White in episode 41 of 3 Point Perspective for the revelation in how to make more interesting images!) Everything else in this sketch sort of sprung out of that!
Shifting from an occasional ghost to an active member is going to be one of my goals for this year when my deadlines calm down a bit, but I couldn't resist giving this prompt a go! It was a good exercise in stretching the mind out a bit - a welcome relief from client projects

@Katie-Kordesh I love the designs of these bats! Lovely work

Here is my entry for this month's prompt "Nightfall". A little girl who loves bunnies (bunnies on her blanket) dreams of riding on her magical bunny to the moon. I have shown only the dream part in color.
-
@RG-Spaulding I think you made this style work really really well! It looks like scratch art! So nice!!
-
@KathrynAdebayo, Thank you so much.
-
@Chip-Valecek What constitutes an "active SVS member"? Does that mean they have an active subscription? Does it mean they participate regularly in the forum?
-
@Debra-Garcia active subscription
-
@rizzyfig I think this is totally awesome

@Coreyartus I love the colors and the story. I tossed around the idea for this prompt, of running home after being called for dinner. Years ago our parents use to stand on the front porch and call our name. This reminded me of that too.
-
@deborah-Haagenson I grew up in southwest Iowa, and this prompt made me remember the gravel roads we road our bikes on, and the quality of light turning all the greens kinda orange, and the sound of tree frogs and locusts as the lightning bugs started to light up in flashes all around. I remember realizing for the first time that the moon was appearing at the same time as the sun was setting...
I tried to capture that a bit. It's amazing how these prompts can launch a person down memory lane, you know? So many of these words and phrases inspire vivid memories for some reason. They're hitting the nail on the head every time they announce something! LOL! I love it!
-
@Coreyartus I do too!! I've been living in MN for the last 18 months. So reading this post of your's really conjured up nice visual images for me that relate even more to your piece!

@Lee-White , How do people vote? I didn’t see This in the instructions.
Thanks, Rita Goldner. ritagoldner4@gmail.com -
I remember nights in the hospital. I would always have certain recurring nightmares. It was horrible and I'd get very little sleep.
I am glad you are alright now. Thank you for sharing your personal story in your work.
