Working on Slowvember and using Lee’s process outlined in his “How To do great illustrations every time video.” Is it still slowvember if I started during inktober? I did a lot of research on this one. Looked at tons of images... Read, walked. And then I did 50 thumbnails. All 50! I’m so proud of me! I felt very stuck at many times because I don’t have the drawing experience to really drastically shift camera angles and things, but I found reference and used other illustrations as ideas. I just narrowed down my 50 into my five favorite thumbnails today. I redrew them a bit bigger. I feel a little behind, but I also feel really good about where things are going. And, I haven’t had a moment of panic yet. Because, none of these drawings really matter yet. I guess that’s the point right? To work out all the problems in a low pressure environment?
Feel free to comment on the five bigger thumbnails. I’m posting the 50 just to show I did them. 😆 Also, I haven’t waited to fully unpack my office to do this. I’m crammed in, but I need to get back to it again or I’ll grow crazy. I’ll put a picture of my ridiculous room too. 7D00D162-DD30-4ED6-AB76-74325267041A.jpeg F73AAE68-F7D6-4C2D-84D7-D731432C0722.jpeg 6F48F812-FF50-4B1A-9FAD-DDD8D5FF1630.jpeg 823E5544-3DFD-4CAC-8567-C82F5BF9774A.jpeg
