MARCH CONTEST: Lucky
-
@Asyas_illos thank you for the kind words. I love the illustrations you put up for this contest. It encourages me to put more out there. I love the girl in the air with the birds in her face. Great gesture.
-
@kimmypie thank you!

Here's my submission for this month. It's been a very busy month for me. This wasn't what I had originally planned on drawing for the challenge, but after trying to make it work I was having doubts about it, so I went with something cute and simple. Hope you guys like it!
-
I was inspired by @Asyas_illos and did a second entry. Saw your note about emailing to Austin, Asya. Thanks for sharing that.
Once again, good luck everyone!
-
@KevinTreaccar good for you! Yes Austin mentioned emailing him with additional illustrations during Januarys critique arena but it was an easy miss, Iโm glad I could help and inspire! Iโm blessed to have the time to be very prolific right now and I found as I go along, each of my illos is better than the last! Good luck and I like your style shift youโve made as well!
-
@Asyas_illos Thank you! Agree on the feeing of progress with each entry โ even if itโs not โbetter,โ I probably learned something new while making it.
And keep it up! As I said, the progress is inspiring.

@Valerie-Light thankyou

@StudioLooong Great job! Love the subtle backlight...
-
@ThomCharles thanks!
-
Cheesy as heck! Perhaps I should put a warning on this, but this is what came to mind when I was trying to figure out "lucky." Sorry in advance
-
@Jeremiahbrown that โcheesyโ though, has totally tugged at my heart strings. Itโs wonderful.
-
@Jeremiahbrown Not cheesy at all. I love this. Lots of feels...
-
Got inspired by the discovery of the Endurance at the bottom of the Weddell Sea last month. Considering every single crew member survived, I'd say they were lucky!
-
Here's mine. As usual, I'm fascinated by the different approaches to this prompt. Good luck, everyone:)
-
Disappointed this month. I didn't get to finish my piece in time, as I started a new job recently and only had about 8 hours to work on it. I could try adding the colour but I'm still not even 100% happy with the linework yet as I rushed a lot of the elements without designing them first or lining them up with the perspective, and don't want to submit something that I couldn't put all my energy into.
If I had more time I would have fixed the perspective on the lucky cats, and given the kid a proper design.
I might come back to this in the future as I was really looking forward to it, but for now I think I'll just move on to the next one and use this as a lesson in time management.
Good luck to everyone who entered ! There's some really nice ones this month.
-
Decided to go ahead and do a final for one of my other prompt ideas. Maybe I should replace the other one on the arena, can I even do that? I think it's more successful in reading quicker than my first one. Thoughts?

@Larue you can enter as many as you like
