My Slowvember for this month: "Staying Up Late." This has been on my plate for a long time so it was nice to finally call it finished, at least for now! This is the first part of a series of 3, about a young boy in the 1960's who loves aviation, who then goes to bed and has a crazy dream involving his stuff animals, and flying. Currently on the middle painting where he doses off to sleep. Oh and yes the TV is babysitting in this scene lol. Good to be back here on svs!
Thanks for the prompt Lee!

[Here's mine. This took FOREVER as I took my time. It's painted in watercolor, finished digitally. Hope you like it.]
Every morning before the sun is up and the air is still chilly, Henrietta Turtle goes for a slow and winding walk. By the time she reaches her favorite breakfast diner, sheβs usually wearing a cozy new coat made of the finest web.

The epitome of SLOW: a tortoise. (Well, others could vie for that honor...sloths, manatees, my father...) Here's a little tortoise portrait, one of my first forays into digital drawing with Procreate, iPad, and Apple pencil.

Slowing down to stop motion...
I haven't done sculpting for quite some time. Thought this might be a fun one to put together with individual cutout watercolor background elements. -
To me, slow means a) taking my time with my watercolors and b) walking arm-in-arm through the snow. Also uploading on the last possible day!

@kathrynadebayo Your illustration makes me giggle. I love looking for all the animals. Their expressions are adorable.

This is still kind of a work in progress as I'm still looking to get and apply feedback for this piece ([https://forum.svslearn.com/topic/6723/feedback-for-thumbnail-sketches-for-howl-s-moving-castle-contest/9](link url)) BUT I thought I might as well post it here, as it definitely qualifies as my "Slowvember" project. And of course it is actually aimed at another competition altogether, but I'm not above double-dipping

"Ego Alley"
What a lovely place to sit and relax. Makes me want to sing a little Otis Redding! -
Slow entry - Isle of Dog. Part of a series I'm slowly creating called See Creatures. About other-world creatures from myths and legends and their just as strange modern day counterparts.I posted this too early the other day - should've been WIP. I wasn't being slow enough.

My oldest son just started to drive, so the first thing that popped in my head was how he would be at a stop light LOL
-
And... I'm not sure this submission is right for this forum, but I DID go slow and work on this painting for the month.
