@squirrelsize merry Christmas to me! Love the design. My papaw had an old blue truck like that. It didnβt have the side step or white wall tires, but it was big, old and blue!
-
@whitney-simms That is sooo Cool, I love those old trucks

I'm glad that an explanation of how I arrived at this illustration is not a requirement for entry because I haven't a clue.

Although it is November, my idea for "SLOW" borrows from another month. I thought of the old saying "Slow as Molasses ... in January" and used it here. Hope that works.

My Slowvember for this month: "Staying Up Late." This has been on my plate for a long time so it was nice to finally call it finished, at least for now! This is the first part of a series of 3, about a young boy in the 1960's who loves aviation, who then goes to bed and has a crazy dream involving his stuff animals, and flying. Currently on the middle painting where he doses off to sleep. Oh and yes the TV is babysitting in this scene lol. Good to be back here on svs!
Thanks for the prompt Lee!

[Here's mine. This took FOREVER as I took my time. It's painted in watercolor, finished digitally. Hope you like it.]
Every morning before the sun is up and the air is still chilly, Henrietta Turtle goes for a slow and winding walk. By the time she reaches her favorite breakfast diner, sheβs usually wearing a cozy new coat made of the finest web.

The epitome of SLOW: a tortoise. (Well, others could vie for that honor...sloths, manatees, my father...) Here's a little tortoise portrait, one of my first forays into digital drawing with Procreate, iPad, and Apple pencil.
