Here is my entry. This is from a novel that I wrote called The Enemy Heir. Adam is reading a map his father has given him. The only way to see the secret writing is to use a special crystal embedded in the knife his grandfather gave him.

Hello everyone,
This is my entry for the month. There is a chicken playing hide and seek, can you find where the other 16 chickens are? Some of them are well hidden but others maybe are a little distracted.

Hidden heart... I wonder if we all feel that way at one time or another.

I'm amazed every month at all the unique ideas everyone brings to the table for these challenges. Hopefully we're all growing! I've recently been wanting to research the chapter book market. So with that on my mind I had this idea of taking one of my characters from a previous challenge and fitting him to this format.

First time submitting and love how this pushed me to get something done. I’m a fan of points of view and how a small shift can change everything.

This is a spot illustration I did for my postcards for the LA SCBWI summer conference coming up. It fits the theme with the witch’s Hidden Agenda for Hansel and Gretel
