Yup...another Wizard of Oz piece ... i'm getting there though 
This is a work in progress - this one really gave me trouble at first but i finally hit on this composition this weekend and i'm liking it - i composed it so that they are facing to left in contrast to most of the other Oz pieces - my idea is that the crow is noticing Dorothy and crew coming toward the trees - curious if the composition is working for folks? Still lots of work to do - any feedback always appreciated

@kevin-longueil This piece is fantastic - really. I couldn't help but mess with it a tiny bit. I would make the bird a stronger statement/focal point. It's a judgement call - but I think it would have a quicker read giving it more appeal. Great work!

Really really beautiful - one of my favourites from the whole series! I had a thought about wether the "nose" of the tree and the crow are too parallel, but maybe that's not noticeable - especially if you pull out the crow a bit more, as Will suggested.
@smceccarelli Thank you Simona!...i had nearly given up on the Fighting Trees illustration but it is now becoming my new favorite - i need to resolve the nose situation as you say - i had not noticed the parallel lines at all so thank you!

I think i have improved it? Killed a few darlings in the process but i think it is better ...not sure about that branch i added on the wrist of the tree though......
