@lizardillo haha! Ants get everywhere. My house mate went home for the weekend and accidentally left his window open. When he came back the carpet looked like it was moving!
-
It was time for a new profile picture. Super happy with how this turned out! Otherwise it’s been a sketchbook kinda month.
-
@andreazupcsan Lovely profile image!

Still plugging away at my earth day illustration
-
Haven’t posted because I have not arted. Here is a recent design for a Tshirt that my graphic artist friend commissioned me for.
Pretty fun to do.
(ignore all the tangents. This is fine. Everything is just. Fine.)

@chrisaakins lol
-
Few images from my sketchbook. Revisiting an old character of mine and my fiancé on the bed which then turned into a forest.
-
@chrisaakins haha "I haven't arted" is a phrase I'm going to work in to my vocabulary.
-
I did a watercolor sketch yesterday of a place near me and wanted to see how hard it would be to use it as a background for an illustration. It took a while because I was using Procreate for the characters but trying to match the style of the watercolor, and of course, I had to fit the characters into the scene instead of designing the scene around the action. All in all, it’s not the best way to work, but it was fun.

@Blitz55 I love the girl snuggling into the pine trees. Nice soft style I can see being painted in oils.
-
@demotlj I think it turned out really well though! I've tried to do this kind of thing and it never works out as well as yours has!
-
@Kristen-Lango Thanks. I don't know how useful it will be since it's going about it backwards but it is good to know it is possible.
-
Really trying to dig into loosening up and letting the pen do the talking… more intuitive sketching I guess. I used a sludge brush at max size to blob down some shapes, and then reduced the size of the sludge to pull from the blobs the characters I could see.
-
@AngelinaKizz This is wonderful, I can see the energy in those lines
-
@chrisaakins Thanks! Oils are something I would love to try at some point just as soon as I finish all the House Work we're doing! LOL.

Exploring diversity in my characters

Just a little humor to end the day...
I am reading up on how to do kickstarters and I was just looking at one that Jake Parker did. This is the last paragraph in his description,
“We would love to get this book out quickly to all our backers! However, in light of previous problems in the shipping department, I feel it necessary to make a few things clear. If you move to a new address in between the time we collect your information and the time we ship your book, please leave a forwarding address with your local post office. If you break up with your girlfriend, and you think there's a chance she may steal all your mail, please consider having it shipped to a safer address. If you're not quite sure what your address is, please don't guess. We cannot be responsible for your change of address, your angry roommates, or your own mental shortcomings. Thank you for your support!”
Freaking hilarious. That is all. Good night. =)x
