More watercolour and ink doodles
@demotlj Wished I lived in that landscape
@Oana It is beautiful this time of year.
@rachelpenman Love the chicken (a flock lives in our backyard) and just added the series to my list on GoodReads!
@K-Flagg I love this guy! He turned out perfect
@kylebeaudette This makes me laugh. Seems like a satire on All Dogs Go to Heaven.
@Braden-Hallett wonderful expressions
@demotlj I play geocaching and I instantly wondered - is there any box hidden in those trees?!
Great piece! They are like Ents!
@Oana They’d be a great place to hide something though my sister said she wouldn’t want to walk alone down that road
Hey Everyone,
I have a portfolio review at the SCBWI virtual conference at the end of this month. I did this piece as a watercolour and as a vector illustration some years ago. I've always loved it. Today, I took the watercolour scan into procreate and worked on it a bit. Do you think it's a strong piece for my portfolio? I just listened to the class on 100 pieces to have in your portfolio, and I thought this might work for things of different scales. I also plan to add text in there.
My first rough draft/sketch of Alberts house. I'm actually using my Colin bear character to make a house design, since I didn't participate in last month's challenge. I had the idea to show him several times around the house doing what he does, similar to the old family circus comic, like a day in the life of Colin type thing. Not sure if that will be confusing tho. Don't want it to look like the house is overrun by bear cubs
Hello friends!
I am currently working on a new print, and I plan to share all the steps here , in case it might help somebody! I really hope it does!
Go to that post to check the story behind the piece!
@neschof This shape is amazing! I love this sketchy look, too - gives a very stylized impression of fur.
