Here is my first contest entry. Whew!
(Had to update because I missed part of a shadow )
I'm working on practicing with procreate some more and playing with style development/brushes by doing some Draw This In Your Style (dtiys) pieces based on work by other instagram artists. It takes away some of the heavier lifting of "what do I draw?" in a general sense as well as things like color palette and composition. This is my first one and I'm really happy with how it turned out
Here is the original piece by jb0xtchi (albeit low res, which is my fault):
Hello all! Excited to join SVS after listening to 3 Point Perspective for a while.
I've been trying to get back into consistently drawing for a couple years, but have been in an overall creative funk. I've jumped into Introduction to Unique and Appealing Character Design and it's already helping me get back into things.
Excited to become a part of this community and learn!
I’m having a lot of fun so far playing around with ink in a way I haven’t before. This is really taking me out of my comfort zone. Love it
Here are my sketchbook pages so far.
I am most interested in the ribbony effects the brushes give so far. About to play more with adding nib details today.
Hope to see some inky goodness from fellow students soon
