now that my may prompt is wrapped up and my most recent commission I go to work on some more transformers!

I decided to go with D, and I just launched into it. I'm hoping folks can tell me if things are pulling focus and interest. I"m worried there's too much texture in the tree, perhaps, and I need to do something a bit more substantial to the path he's standing on...
@aprilshin I decided to change the boy's facial expression a bit, and have him looking upward with a "sorta" grin... I think that was stronger than the "I'm lonely" vibe I think I was going for... Does that make things a bit clearer? Or at least less complicated?
@Kevin-Longueil Thank you. Yes, I was trying to hide the knees, I really didn't work them in from the start. I'll work on making them more correct. Glad you like it!
@emma-scheltema It was mention regarding perspective, but the buildings/houses seem to converge too tightly. Perhaps more (smaller in perspective) animals should be in the back along side one another. It looks so tight that the elephant could not have fit through the space, let alone alone side other animal. It is an awesome concept.
It's looking nice 🙂 I'm on the iPad so can't upload images but I'd check out the concept art for Disneys Brother Bear, they have wonderful shapes for the bears! I'd keep playing with the characters in different positions and situations to really help bring out their characters, by repetition you'll refine the designs. Remember the three basic design shapes, a circle shows easy going, friendly characters, a square shows stern, stubborn characters and triangles show energetic, edgy characters. Keep up the good work! 😃
sarahelliott489 and julian beresford , thanks so much!
TessW Thanks a lot for your words!
Andyg Don´t hate me dude!, thanks
rcartwright Yes, I agree about the cat´s head, maybe I didn´t use any reference for this one. 🙂 maybe if I play with the tool transform I can fix it a little bit.
Maybe the face is better like this?, I´m not sure 😞
@eric-castleman your style is very unique and it's still developing as you produce more work. Your style is very definitively yours in my opinion and I think the more you produce it will just continue to develop in a cool way like it has been. You have real cool shapes and big solid ones at that that interplay well with each other. You also have good tone and just a uniqueness that I can't really describe that I really like. Your already producing cool stuff but just like all of us as you get down the road putting in work your development is going be great and I look forward to seeing it.
@tessw it's definitely a tattoo habit! It's hard to keep in mind that I can work in layers. I feel like everything has to be outlined and instead of using multiply layers I'm trying to paint in what it might look like if it were transparent, or just avoiding it all together. As for the noses, I just can't help myself, it makes me laugh.
If you do not know who Will Eisner is, do some research as he began the whole graphic novel genre. He was an incredible artist and the best teacher one could have.
Here is a new book cover graphic I just did. Really looking forward to the Book cover class!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm working on time management as well. My wife was lovely enough to take our son for the day so I could work on illustrating.
@sarahelliott489 Hey thank you! adding textures would definitely help, that is actually one of my known trouble issues right now, I have tried multiple things (practices in past) that I either never ended up liking or just couldn't get a handle on so I am still searching for that good texture technique that suits me.
Also the robot one is by far one of my favorites I have done this year! Thanks!
Hello, this is a super project! If you want an advice, then probably i would try to get different colour of the skin. This one looks very pale and greish.
