MAY CONTEST: ISOLATION
-
@eriberart Really nice! I love how the watercolor looks, it's something I think can't really be replicated digitally yet. I did a similar thing this month with a watercolor background and a digital painted character...I wasn't quite sure if I made the digital and traditional bits feel like they "belong" in the same image, but I feel like you integrated them really well here.
-
@Braxton thank you! Iβm happy to hear that as its been something Iβve been struggling with to make sure they look like they belong together
-
@Kat thank you!
-
@miranda-hoover thank you!
-
@Chip-Valecek My entance for the may contest : Isolation

My entry for isolation
Itβs not Easy.... -
@Melanie-Ortins This is lovely! I like how you have so much detail, but it doesn't detract from your focus.
-
I'm loving the range of styles here! Good job, everybody! Here's my contribution
-
@miranda-hoover Thank you ...I tried for a bit more of a softer style than I usually do but I was pleased with how it came out
-
@mcucchi I really like the style and vibe. Out of curiosity, did you make a pencil drawing then color it digitally?
-
@Braxton Thank you! Close! It's a ballpoint pen drawing, colored digitally.

Have you all noticed the rare things happening during the pandemic? Snowrollers are a rare phenomenon, so I imagined an isolated hare caught as possibly responsible. It's a cover for a middle grade mystery novel that I haven't written yet .
I have really enjoyed seeing everyone's entries so much. We're still pretty isolated here so it's been nice to have this forum. Can't wait to see all of them!!

Hi everyone, I thought I wouldn't make it for this month but here is my contribution. This is one of the moments during this quarantine that I will surely remember.
-
Been busy with a lot of projects this month, but I really wanted to enter this month! This was more of a digital painting practice than anything else, but I really enjoyed doing it.
-
@Chip-Valecek When are these due? I can't remember.

After weeks of work, here's my submission... finally! First time submitting to a contest, not just for SVS. In fact, this is my very first time using Photoshop to illustrate, so thank you for the tutorials! And thank you for setting up the contest; it was a great incentive to get a project done... I have illustrated characters before, but this is my very first full composition. I had never worked so intensely in a project before! So looking forward to the next one
-
These are lookin' SO GOOD!! Keep 'em coming! you have until midnight of May 31st to get them into the contest!
