Insanely deflated with computer issues

Get and iPad they say. Get illustrator they say (the surface designers say that because it industry standard in many respects). Well, I updated my computer OS to get the newer photoshop and illustrator. Now it’s broke. Taking it in to the Apple store on Thursday. Can’t even print the cards to fill orders at this point. Got Dropbox Incase the computer died. Glad I did. But photoshop won’t open the Dropbox files right now. Lovely. I’m sure i just need to read more about Dropbox for it to be operating right. Got an iPad. That’s great. But I feel as foreign with that as I do oil paints. I can’t figure out how to get it to the do basic tasks I know how to do on photoshop.
I know there are solutions. I know there are tutorials. But right now I just want to cry. Too many things to fix all at the same time. Ahhhhh!

@Whitney-Simms I'm so sorry I literally have panic attacks when my computer has a brain fart.
I hope it's an easy fix.

@Braden-Hallett thanks! I know it will all be running like clockwork at some point. This is NOT the fun part of this type of work. Luckily the price of a new computer isn’t as horrible as it seemed 5 years ago when we bought this one. If it means we have to do that. At least there’s one good point about getting older. And the fam has to have a computer. It’s not just an “art want.”
Best thing about lees business course. “Back up your files. Computers break. That’s what they do. Back up your files.” I don’t think it’s a direct quote @Lee-White . But it got in my head. So I haven’t lost work that would seem impossible to start over

I hate it when technology doesn't do what it's supposed to do. I mean, if we want work messed up or not done right or not at all, we have human beings who can mess that up for us perfectly well. Our machines are just supposed to work. I hope you are back up and running soon.

@Whitney-Simms just based on my opinion, it’s probably best to get a desktop pc. If it starts to slow down, you can always just upgrade its parts for cheaper expense.
-
@Nyrryl-Cadiz I have a desktop Mac. I hope it can be upgraded and fixed! That’s what’s giving me the problem. Thanks though. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
-
@Whitney-Simms that is pretty close to my direct quote! : )
I also always say that the day you buy your computer is a day closer to when it will fail. And it will fail. They all fail at some point. Some of them give you a warning, other times it's sudden and catastrophic. I plan on it being sudden and unexpected. That way I'm not at risk.
-
@Lee-White well, that was pretty sound advise. I’m glad you really emphasized that point. Hopefully the computer won’t have to be wiped clean, but I’m not counting on it. See, you guys are doing important things! Thanks again!

Aw man, that's so frustrating! Hope things get worked out soon for you.

Really sorry to hear. These things are crazy frustrating
