Just introducing myself

Hi I just wanted to introduce myself. I’ve been a member for a bit and have not had a chance.
I’m a stay at home mom working on getting back into the Industry. I went to school in my early 20s for animation illustration and took a step back to raise my two girls. Now that they are both in school all day I decided to go back for a degree in illustration. I’ll be graduating in the spring with my 2 AS in illustration and will be transferring to a 4 year college.
I’m a traditional artist I like to work in pastels, oils, and I’m learning Digital. I also do face and body painting for different event to pay for my schooling.
I’ll attach a few of my works so you can get an idea of how I work and what I do.
This was my final for my illustration class last week with Don Segmiller

@Emily-Engh Hi Emily, I'm new here and just wanted to say that I'm in a similar position as you. I'm a SAHM right now and trying to get back into the swing of things while raising my two girls...they aren't in school yet though (3 and almost 2) so I'm hoping to slowly work my way up to it when that time comes. I think it's so cool that you went to school for illustration and you're going back again! I haven't been formally trained but am starting a weekend class on children's book illustration in Jan. I'm completely switching career paths since this is not what I went to school for, but it has always been my passion. Bit nerve-wracking. Anyway, sorry for rambling!
