This is a really hard challenge!
-
Anybody else this far into #slowvember and want to scrap their idea and do something different? I'm so tired or redrawing/painting the same image over and over
-
I always want to scrap my ideas, even without doing this challenge. :face_with_stuck-out_tongue_closed_eyes: Do you think this challenge will be good for your growth as an artist? Have you learned anything so far?
-
@TessaW oh yeah i've definitely learned a lot. I've learned to always have a plan if i'm looking for a good portfolio worthy piece. I still don't have the skill to match whats in my head but I think that mostly due to my impatience and desire to finish a piece in 1-2 days because my attention span is so short. I try to break up my studio time with story writing so that helps but drawing the same scene over and over is painful lol. Im trying to learn too much at once and execute them well I think. I absolutely love seeing everyones progress on here though. Seeing the thumbnails to final is inspiring.

Sometimes in frustration, the BEST ideas come out...please don't give up! Take a little "breakie-break" from it and you will come back to it with a fresh perspective...

Me too! I feel your pain
-
@arent-draper good idea! i'm going to do a little break, listen to some pearl jam, and then give it another shot!
-
@Braden-Hallett glad to know I'm not alone!
-
@KaraDaniel Great introspection. It will be interesting to see how you feel when it's over and you have more hindsight. Almost there!(?)
-
@KaraDaniel I am with @TessaW on wanting to scrap all my ideas LOL. I think you hit that "This is the worst piece ever phase." But I find even if I don't like it and I still push through it will come out and be something you are happy with. So with that, stay strong and push through. You are almost there!
