Here is my day one:
"Look! A crown!" said Tobie as she put on Mrs. Frou-Frou's giant ring.
"You look beautiful!" said her brother, Inky. He poked his nose out of the jewelry box, admiring his sister.
"Maybe this one can be my crown!" Reb held up Mr. Frou-Frou's wedding band."

Nice work @chrisaakins! I like the texture and shading in your piece! It's really expressive and easy to understand. What kind of pen do you use for the grey shaded areas?
I experimented with pen nibs and ink today for the first prompt. Still trying not to accidentally smudge ink everywhere with my hand. Only one main area got smudged this time, luckily.
Concept: A ringing phone is in the ring, in the ring of fire, on the Ring of Fire, in a ring made of rings.
(Basically as many rings I could think of haha)You can find my work at @kanari.illustration on IG.

@chrisaakins wow, you really have a great story going on there, I have to get a bit more creative lol!!

@kanari-illust Thank you. I am using sakura pens (brush and micron) for the lines and Blicks warm grey illustration markers.
@Coley great minds think of mice!
@jakecrowe Thanks!
@Aleksey I love the rendering on the ring. Great job! The little known ring given to the gnomes by Sauron but never made the poem because all the gnomes died off of heart failure trying to wear it. -
Ring cycle

My mother's passion flower plant -it rings up and around and it also has these adorable squiggly kinks that extend in ringlets. Though I could not decide with or without the shadow. What do you like better?
Day 1 -Ring

Going for a spooky vibe this year... (feel free to comment or critique, I'd love to know what I can do to improve!)
Day 1: Ring

@chrisaakins or they melted it down and distributed amongst all the gnomes now alll the gnomes are tiny AND invisible.
-
Day 1: RING I'm drawing bears because Inktober came while I was doing my draw 100 bears, so now I'm incorporating a bear into each Inktober drawing. I kind of stumbled into Inktober last year to cement a daily drawing habit and this year I really want to expand my skills with illustration and ink.

Inktober Day 1: Ring "This ones ears are so big, it can use them as wings. It sleeps hanging on a bell...at least until it rings."
Happy Inktober Everyone!

I feel like I just ate my whole bag of Halloween candy. I’ve already inked 10 drawings. I wanted to be prepared, but I think sketching ahead just made it impossible to stop once I started inking. They are just my 5x7 spot illustrations for my cards. They aren’t super involved, so it’s just addicting to and impossible to stop. Ahhhh. I’ll can drag out the posts though. I can pretend it took days. I took it to gymnastics yesterday and dance today. I’m like, what else am I going to do? Watch my kid. Okay, I would but I can’t see them when they are in certain parts of their practices.
Happy inktober guys! You’re already killing it! @Braden-Hallett get that poor boy a kick stand!
