SO excited to be here!

I am so excited to be here! I am from Wisconsin, US. I have been a stay-at-home mom for the past eight years and am just getting back into doing art on a regular basis. I initially went to school for art and then switched to history mid-college. What draws me to illustration is the combined love of story, art, the process of drawing and painting and how all of those things can merge together to inhance one another. I like working in traditional media, but primarily work on the iPad in Procreate right now- because the set up is easier with a family and- the results can be incredible. I am an illustration/ children’s book super fan and am in love with artists like Julia Sarda, Rebecca Green, Felicia Sala, Tom Booth and many, many more. What I am looking to get out of SVS Is that I really want to be apart of the conversation in children’s lit and children’s art- instead of just observing it. I found the 3 Point Perspective podcast a week ago, and have just been beyond excited because I honestly had no idea which direction to head in next.
