Hello my fellow illustrators!
Welcome to the June Studio!Imagine you are walking through a studio silently looking over peopleโs shoulders at their work. This is NOT a place for critiques. You may applaud, encourage, ooh and ah only.
What is everyone working on right now?

Iโve been plugging away on an assignment for Visual Storytelling Techniques
Hereโs where Iโm at so far

@burvantill This gets better every time you post an update. It's lovely.

It's the 2nd of the month. Time to share.
I've been working on a made-up Oz series, trying to produce as much work as I can and force myself to mature a bit. I'm in a bit of a dream spot--I'm off for the summer because I teach, so I can devote all my energies to this right now. And I have to take advantage of it as much as I can. So I'm cranking out as much stuff as I can, and learning that being slow and precise is really where the good stuff happens for me... Hehe...
I've finally reached Tier 4 of the suggested curriculum, and I'm realizing this is where it gets harder. LOL! I'm pouring myself into these Oz images currently, trying to apply what I've learned on more than homework. I have no idea what I'm going to do with these, but I'm learning a lot. Eventually I'll move on to some other subject matter that allows me to play, but for right now it's Oz. Having fun on the journey so far!

I am giving this t a client today.

Donโt know what the weather is like where you all live, but here it often changes several times a day Itโs often hard to know how to dress. So this is part of a weather project Iโm working on - Iโm making many different types of weather and corresponding outfits, and then mix and match
-
@karolifo my son was just complaining of this on Friday. Dressed for the cold morning, heโs dying of the heat by the time school is out.
-
Today I had time to just play. I decided to use a small watercolor sketchbook I have to just experiment with shape, color and texture. Here is my usual watercolor and colored pencil but I decided to add some graphite. My erasing shapes was difficult - it's a small sketchbook and I don't have a tiny eraser. But I just ordered a Tombow micro eraser that should arrive tomorrow!
-
@karolifo This is really great. What a fun Idea!

@Buddy-Skelton Wow! Exquisite brushwork!

@Coreyartus These are all so well-envisioned and atmospheric! I love the idea of the carnivorous poppies haha :^)

@karolifo this looks like fun - almost like a game! And so appropriate for where I live. 80's yesterday, 46 this morning.
-
@MichaelaH This is shaping up really nicely. It's going to look wonderful when finished! Looking forward to seeing it. I enjoy seeing all of their facial expressions, and the rabbit pointing with the carrot is really neat, haha.
-
@Kat Thanks! It is based on a game Iโm planning on making it into a game too

Hello everyone. Something different from me, a girl racing her beautiful horse.
