I'm amazed every month at all the unique ideas everyone brings to the table for these challenges. Hopefully we're all growing! I've recently been wanting to research the chapter book market. So with that on my mind I had this idea of taking one of my characters from a previous challenge and fitting him to this format.

One of the many nights my sister and I spent hidden away in blanket forts reading fairy tales by flashlight. (Watercolor and Colored pencil on Arches 300lb cold press)
I tried to keep it simple since painting glowy light is very new to me, but might revisit this again after I watch some more classes and feel like I can add all the things I wanted to.

Who doesn't love a cupcake? But what if they are even better than expected? What if, there was a hidden surprise of yummy unexpected goodness?!?!?!? An ingredient that you never knew would taste so magical in a cupcake. Or a birthday sprinkle confetti surprise. What about finding out the type of little bundle that you will be bringing into the world? Cupcakes can hold such sweet little treasures. After all, they are a cake that fits in a cup.
