Hi! Can anyone recommend a printer for color postcards? I used Vistaprint for the last cards I sent out but wasn't thrilled with their color or paper. Comments and suggestions are very much appreciated!

I have tried a half dozen or so printers and the best quality (and price) is Printplace.com

Also, check around to your local printers and see if they have any iGen digital printers.

@lidia-ull I just watched "how to get free lance illustration work" and they talked a bunch about postcards. Will and Jake mentioned a good place, but I don't remember where it was. You could skim through that third thursday and find it. I think it was towards the middle or end.

I had a good experience while printing postcards at Bestofprinting. You can try their printing service. Here is the link: http://www.bestofprinting.com/printing/postcards/

@lidia-ull I really liked moo.com -- quality was great. I will definitely go with them again for my next round of postcards!

@Laurel-Aylesworth I recently did a run of postcards and got them printed by moo. On arrival they look very nice but I haven't been thrilled with the state of the cards that have been returned to sender or the two that I mailed to myself. They all have white scuffs in odd places on the feature image and the laminated surface gets peeled up around the edges of the cards. I don't think that their printing methods are moisture-resistant enough to withstand mailing, I don't think I will use them again.

@StudioLooong very smart to mail to yourself—I never thought of that.

@BichonBistro yeah I was just curious how the layout would work with all the barcodes and everything printed on it. wanted to make sure that it wasn't obscuring anything critical so I could adjust my layout for next time.
