For my work, I wanted to complete a dummy I had already roughed out. It's not a single image per se, but it's a project I worked on slowly and enjoyed it very much. So while I can't show you the finished thing just yet (as per my agent), I can mention it. Just working on something important in a steady and consistent way was my goal. Now I have a full dummy done and am starting another. I could literally write around 6 books a year this way. Which is a lot different than having a "daily drawing" criteria where you just draw any old thing. Approaching work this way can really move your career forward!
Here's a few sample spreads:

Sorry it doesn't have my name on it. I had some trouble with writing it in photoshop and uploading it here (file too big). I'm not trying to be negative but I am still learning and don't expect to be up at the top yet....so, I don't think it matters too much if my name is on it. I'll just share it anyway. Hope that is okay. The original has been turned in to class. Thanks.

@lee-white I think my favorite is the moon peaking out from the trees by the window and the dancing scene
Looks like a fun book!

I normally do character driven cartoony style illustrations so this was a bit of a departure for me. I went to Colonial Williamsburg at the beginning of November and tried to capture some of the atmosphere, architecture, and palette from there. (I posted my process on another thread.) Done on an iPad Pro with digital pastels in Procreate.

I've just realised it's 1st of Dec tomorrow, which is in 1 hour where I come from! I am so happy I don't have more time to keep working on my image
I've spent hours on it, trying to do it while watching SVS course on Light and Color.
So here it is a clumsy red elephant, who loves music and managed to sneak into cheetah's theatre. Why cheetah? Inspiration comes form Peter Bence - one of the quickest piano players in the world

@aska really cool. You might want to check out the new book from candlewick called "The Bear and the Piano" It has a similar feel and is a great read.

@lee-white thank you, it means a lot to me!
I will check this book for sure
