Hi everybody, this is my first time here. I've taken almost all the SVS classes this past year and they have helped me tremendously. I thought it would be fun to show one of my pieces from last year and one I just finished today to show how my art has leveled up this past year. I would love to see how SVS has helped you guys.before_after.jpg

Wow! Both pieces are nice, but I can definitely see your progress. Did you deliberately choose to draw something with a similar composition (two trees, two main characters, etc?) or did you just happen to make two images with those similarities?

This is some tremendous improvement! Thanks for sharing.

Can I ask which class or casses were the most helpful, or gave you that "Ahaaaa" moment?

                  Thanks everyone!

Jake, I would say the painting color and light and the creative composition classes helped me the most. Some of those concepts I never heard before and some I had heard before but the way you guys explained it was like a light bulb going off in my brain. Please keep the classes coming I can't say enough good things about SVS.

Sarah, I actually did not do two similar compositions on purpose, but when I was looking back through my old work I saw they were pretty similar which was cool.

You have really improved! Nice going.

Never give up, always push yourself two steps further than you believe you can go.

@Jake-Parker Thanks! The painting color and light class and the creative composition class helped me out a ton. Some of the concepts I had never heard before and some I had, but when you guys were explaining it, it was like a light bulb went off in my brain, specifically how important it is to get the values separated out. Please keep the SVS classes coming I can't wait to 'level up' again.
