Self publishing Guidance Don't do things backwards!

In trying to get myself set up as a self-publisher, I found this helpful article that I thought I would share.
http://www.ibpa-online.org/article/set-up-for-self-publishing/
I'm still overwhelmed but at least I feel a little more knowledgeable. I'll be glad when this is done. My books are all printed and sitting here next to me and I have people that want to buy them but I don't really have everything set up to do it! Please get yourself established BEFORE you decide to self publish a book. It will save you from a lot of grief. I have quite few people that I lured to my facebook page that want to buy my little book. I thought I would be ready and I have to keep putting them off because I don't have a license or a number of some sort or a sellers permit or a website with a cart....aaagghhhhh!!!!!

I think you should feel proud that you took the courage to do it and learned from doing it, I hope everything works out for you. Thanks for the insight. I watched a guide on self publishing from Stephen Silver years ago when I did a Schoolism Course on Character Design, it was pretty informative, but it takes guts to actually follow through and do this stuff.

If you are ready to sell, and they are ready to buy, sign up for an account at https://squareup.com/.
You can download the app and run credit cards, etc. and it's really fast to set up. I run a lot of my sales through it and it's been great.

@Lee-White Thank you. I still need to get my permits, etc. in order to sell the books. I will definitely look it over though and see what it's all about.
