      from Foundations Level 1 Light and Shadow for Illustrators. hi guys i need feedback on my approach on assignment 3. hard edge seems straight forward but Firm edge and Soft edge are a little tricky and bit more guess work. thanks

        @blackhound-rise I would say use a softer brush and make it smaller for the firm edge. And for the soft edge, that needs to be much softer. Make sure you are using the right brush because you actually can't make that hard of a line with the hardness set at 0%. I think that should fix it. : )

            take 2. spacing dropped to 1% not zero as per text on photo. used 15% hardness for Firm edge brush. still 0% on soft edge brush hardness

                  @blackhound-rise ok, attempt number 3. i think I ended going 3 tone on soft edge. i think my firm edge is a little better than before. not seeing splodges and patches as mush as before. the air brush option is really good tip.
