Hey way to go getting that assignment done. It looks like an interesting POV and would work well for an illustration scene. You do have a few issues though. I hope you donβt mind but I illustrated out where your vanishing points on the bed were going. It looks like you two horizon lines and 2 sets of vanishing points. I hope you can view the image I attached. I know Dave mentioned in the course you could eye ball it, but I would grid everything out really well until you get more used to doing it.
Nice job finishing the assignment and keep up the good work. I hope my input helps you out.

@Jav-Muz great start!
From what I can see, I feel like your vanishing points are too close to the edges of your canvas. The wall with the door and bed, feel slightly askew, and one side of your bed seems to curve upwards. This would happen if the vanishing points are too close.

@AngelinaKizz ohhh thanks for the advice, I really needed some help with this piece! Iβm going to try to attempt it again soon thank you so much!
-
@Jav-Muz are you using procreate and the guideline feature for your perspective grid?
-
@Jav-Muz If you're doing a normal 2 points perspective, your vertical lines should always be straight
Right now they're leaning in all directions which gives a weird wobbly feeling.
-
@AngelinaKizz Yes I was using procreate for this piece but, I am going to attempt it again in photoshop this time.
-
@Jav-Muz so I definitely wouldn't trash this piece, i would go into your "edit guidelines". From there I would shrink your canvas on the screen and drag your vanishing points out further from the canvas. Also get rid of the 3rd vanishing point above your canvas. Your doors and wall edges will all be straight lines. After you adjust your guidelines, go back in and see which lines to adjust.
-
@AngelinaKizz ok so I tried it the way u suggested by not trashing it but, I found it easier to re-do it so I made it again with all the advice I got.
how does it look now?
-
@Robert-Henderson wow thank you so much for taking out the time to explain this to me! Thank you I really appreciate it
!
-
@NessIllustration ohhhh I see, thanks for the advice!
-
@Jav-Muz way better! Way more natural looking. I would still suggest that you don't need to add the 3rd vanishing point.
-
@AngelinaKizz @Jav-Muz Yes, I agree with Angelina- this is just a two point perspective view.
-
@AngelinaKizz thank you! Ohh ok!
-
@PenAndrew ohh ok Iβll try and edit it when I find the time to, thanks for the advice!
-
@Jav-Muz This is looking better for sure. Vanishing points on the left are all good. It does look to me that there is not one common point on the right of the drawing so it is impossible to establish a horizon line. It is only slightly off but it does give it an unsettled feeling. I think if you rework all lines vanishing to the right so that they all hit a common point and also make every one of the vertical lines in the drawing perpendicular to the horizon line it should do the trick.
-
@Kevin-Longueil ohhh I see thanks for the advice!
Iβll try fix the vanishing points on the right side, and Iβll post it when I fix it.
Thank you! -
