APRIL CONTEST: Design the Coolest Treehouse in the World!
-
@Kristen-Lango You could do it your way and then make it fit for the contest, by editing the elements that stop it being a spot illustration or enter two versions.
-
@AlliFaith Thank you!
-
@PenAndrew Thanks Andrew! Yeah, I'm thinking about doing just that, I'll be posting a more "finished" rendered image of it soon
-
Here's my submission. Really tried to push it in terms of scale and fun stuff to look at. I've never done anything like cut-outs to show interior detail so I really wanted to try and make that work here. Felt like I could have spent weeks just adding things to it hah.
-
@jdubz I love the aquarium at the bottom level!
-
@Asyas_illos No treehouse is complete without sharks!
-
@jdubz This is great, I am sure this will be in the top 16. It is so imaginative.
-
@jdubz @Asyas_illos It is like a Despicable me villain's home.
-
@PenAndrew Thank you!
-
-
@patricialamas this turned out great!
-
Treehouse #2
-
@Kim-Rosenlof Thanks!
-
-
@Jeremiahbrown I just love your artwork!
-
@patricialamas So beautiful! Love everything about this.

@Asyas_illos Great and this work is definitely better in that you have created story elements when you added the characters and the flag. You are so prolific! You inspire me to try for two storm projects.
-
@PenAndrew thank you yes I think I finally tied it together lol! And good for you, you should definitely try! One, increases your chances for critique arena but two and more importantly gives you that much more practice/experience I use every entry to “perfect” my style, and do my best to use all the knowledge I’ve gained from svs so far(it’s a lot to remember!) so even if my work doesn’t make the top sixteen I still have something to be proud of and to possibly add to my portfolio.

@Asyas_illos Yes, you have a clear style that I recognise easily.
I like the way you create blocks of colour and enhance it with drawing details over that colour, it seems a good method that can allow you to create a great variety of images.
I love your small characters in the images- can see story potential there. Have you been in the critique arena many times?
