-
@carlianne Love love love this challenge of yours! I've tried doing a similar one but, haha, have not been able to keep up.
-
@donnamakesart thank you!! Iβm not sure how long I can keep it up for but keeping it to an hour has been helping me feel like itβs doable and motivated, that and a bunch of reference saved ahead of time
-
@carlianne Urrgghhh, I love your style so much!!
-
This was a warmup sketch that went a bit far.
Link keeps getting sidetracked, just as the majority of artists. -
Finally finished the first batch of studies!!! So proud haha Thinking what I want to focus on for the next batch

@donnamakesart these are lovely! What are you using for reference?

I've been hard at work tackling this mini comic project I've developed. Here is my first page of thumbnails and I'm starting on the refined sketches! This story's main character is the one I'm working on for this month's contest. Her name is Ember, and she is a potion maker at the Purple Raven Apothecary, in the town of Superstitious. This is my first try at a comic, so it's all new to me! I just really wanted to give it a shot. I'm already finding that it involves quite a bit of work I'm curious to see what I can do in about six pages. It's a learning experience for sure.

Today's quick paint study
-
@carlianne things I found on Piterest :))
I titled the board gouache but decided last minute to paint it digitally haha: https://pin.it/6y3FW1s
-
@donnamakesart oh yes I will steal from you
-
Moving on to my comfort zones! Pretty girls... but with backgrounds. Lighting as a secondary focus
Challenging myself to strip down the details and the brush strokes to bare minimum, just enough to get the mood I want across.
