Inktober is almost upon us and we are going to be featuring a group of students that participate in the challenge! Anyone that participates in Inktober this year, even if you are not planning to do all 31 days, is invited to participate. We also want to know a little about your Inktober plan. In your post include answers to all of the questions below as well as 1-2 of the images you create for Inktober. Because we want you to include some of your Inktober pieces, the deadline for posts will be October 11th and not the end of September. We will then reach out to those that are selected the next week with a short Inktober themed Q&A that will be posted before the end of October.

Planning Questions:

  • How often are you planning to participate (daily, weekly, etc)?

  • What are you using to guide your drawings (such as an overarching theme and/or the prompts list)? Give details.

  • When are you planning to make time to do your ink drawings?

  • Are you planning to use these drawings once your done other then just posting to social media?

Instructions:
To be considered share 1-2 of your best Inktober pieces (they need to be from 2020) on this forum post with answers to the planning questions listed above. Make sure to share your image by the 11th of October to be considered. Also, make sure your images are at least 800 pixels on the shortest side and do not exceed 1mb in size.
Work will be selected based off of how well the work uses the following:

Concept: How well does your illustration convey a clear concept/story. Is it a unique approach? Does it make me want to know more about what is happening in the illustration?

Technique: How is the composition working? Does it have good use of lighting, rendering, mark making, etc.? Does the technique compliment the concept?

Ink: Was it created using ink (either digitally or traditionally)?

If you are selected, we will be emailing you using the email indicated on your forum account. Besides your art being displayed on the homepage, you will also be sent a few questions for a Q&A blog post that will be shared on the SVSLearn blog.

I am excited to participate with all of you this year and can't wait to see what everyone posts!
