Intro to Gesture Drawing class
-
@ArtofAleksey I'm really digging the bean and noodle method as well, works with my swoopy sort of linework. It's been interesting to try all the techniques! The "3 Attempts" exercise also produced great results!
-
@carriecopadraws yeah!
-
Next 2 poses. Getting through the wait and weight assignment. Much more comfortable holding a pencil too!
-
-
Ok whew all 20 of the wait and weight assignment done!
-
First attempt at extrapolation
-
Ok attempt 2 with jake parkers character figuring out how to make him stand upright was a challenge
-
Another extrapolation pose
-
Joining in on the gesture class train! This is really a great class!

-
@Sybil_S_Cohen yess great job Sybil!
-
I’m joining too finally. Lol.
@ArtofAleksey Your gestures are really expressive! Wow, they were good to start, but I really see some big development! Do you?
I just did the first assignment, nothing great in my gestures and probably didn’t push things enough, also gotta add faces ( horror lol).
Onwards
-
@Coley yes i do but i need to practice more
-
Adding the principles from the class to my daily practice of the masters! Naming the pose while doing these is a game changer!!! Learning so much more then I was before while doing these! I can see how they used the action to lead all of their discussions!

Hi everyone! love all the comments happening in this forum. I just started this class and love it so far. My goal for the class is to further my gesture skills without reference.
