Collective art project to send Will some love and support.
-
Hi everyone,
In light of Will's tragic and heartbreaking loss, I thought it would be nice if we all grouped together and created something that would show him just how much we all love and support him.
As Jake mentioned in his earlier post, amidst the unimaginable sorrow he must be facing, Will still thought of SVS and asked him to reach out to us all. I think we should all now reach out to him with messages of hope, support and love.
I am a relatively new member here but Will is someone who commands a huge amount of respect, both for his amazing talent and for his boundless generosity in his approach to teaching. I think everyone here will agree that he is an amazing person who inspires all of his students, whether online or in person, to achieve their very best. So please join me in this little project that may help to bring a smile to his face in this difficult time.
Here is my thought on what we could do, but please free to suggest other ideas.

Everyone creates a drawing that represents their interpretation of a guardian angel. It doesn't have to be religious, or be an actual angel - just whatever you think of when you think of what a guardian angel might be. (It can be traditional, or digital, or whatever you want!);
-
Format it as follows: 2048 x 2048 px (if you're drawing traditionally, basically just a square);
-
Upload it here https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1ccIlea_-YXct287TYjPprtiLXUFhC2ZZ?usp=sharing once it is finished in as high resolution as possible with any text that you would like to add - I think we should avoid condolences and messages that focus on loss - let's make this about hope and support guys because Will probably won't get this for a month or two;
-
Share it to this thread too, to inspire others!
-
When you upload your image, please include your name in the file title if you would like that included in the final project;
6.. I will gather all of the drawings, will get them printed into a lovely hardback book, and will arrange for it to be sent to Will with all our names inside the cover.
The new deadline is the 22nd of May.
Let me know what you all think.

I'm interested. I can make that deadline. Good idea.
-
@burvantill Awesome! I'm so glad you're on board. What better way to show Will support than by making art, right? I'm hoping it'll cheer him up a bit when he gets back.
-
Love that idea! You can count me in
-
@Jonas-Zavacky Great! I can't wait to see what you come up with
-
I love this idea! So thoughtful, I am in
-
@lmrush Yay! Really happy to have you on board! Please spread the word across the forum if you can.
-
Come on everyone! Let's get behind this! There are four of us so far.
-
How thoughtful. I will be out of town but I will try and put something together before I leave.
-
@Marsha-Kay-Ottum-Owen Please do! The art doesn't need to be elaborate. It could be a simple little doodle with some kind words
-
@ShannonBiondi I'm in!
-
@Charlie-Eve-Ryan Awesome!! That's great Charlie!!
-
Great idea!
-
@kaitlinmakes Awesome! Can we count you in, Kaitlin?
-
@ShannonBiondi 110%
-
@kaitlinmakes Yesss!
-
I would like to try and get something together for this
-
@Eli Brilliant Eli. That would be amazing. Like I said earlier, it doesn't have to be anything fancy that takes a long time to make. I know people are busy and it's really just to show Will that we're thinking of him and using the skill he helps us to develop to show our appreciation
-
@ShannonBiondi That is a great idea! So just to clarify, we post it to this thread?
-
@juliepeelart Hi Julie! Great to have you Yes, you post your finished peace on this thread and I'll gather them all together on the 15th of May. Make sure to include your name and whatever message you want to include.
