@rachelpenman The moment before ..."BANG!!"

This is my first time joining the challenge! I had a lot of fun thinking about the story around this image .I am thinking about how in the picture book she could decide to make a really really big cake to celebrate her grandmas 80th birthday. together with her parents they bake a tiny cake, a small cake, a medium cake, a big cake, a huge cake and an enormous cake. And when they are all stacked together they form a beautiful really really big cake. All that is left is to put the cherry on top.... (cue this image)
After she falls into the cake she is really sad at first. But then she has an idea. Instead of eating the cake all the guests of the birthday party can enjoy their own cake diving experience! the party is a lot of fun and everyone (including grandma) enjoys the really really big food fight that ensues.I can imagine how this is not the most marketable story as it might inspire some messy behaviour in kids . Oh well...

bye!

The moment before... Timmy and Tom were searching for The Lost Diamond of The Rooted Jungle. Little did they know it was embed in the head of the Lilac King Snake. The most deadly snake of the jungle. It was that moment before Timmy noticed the danger above them. Are they able to escape?

@Darian Thank you so much! I am really struggling to adapt my oil painting style to what I'm learning about children's illustration. This is so much harder than I thought, especially with colors, so I really appreciate your positive comment!
